Ticketing

Tickets sell online and at the gate, and both land in the same dashboard. Every buyer joins your patron list automatically.

Ticket types

Create the types your event sells: general admission, day pass, child, senior, carnival armband, parking.

Selling online

Each event gets a public sales page and an embed snippet — the same one-line script pattern as the booking widget — so tickets sell from your own website.

Checkout runs on your fairground Stripe connection. Buyers get QR-coded tickets by email.

Stock reservation

Stock is reserved before the card is charged and released if the payment fails. Two people cannot buy the last ticket at the same moment, and a failed payment does not silently consume inventory.

Selling at the gate

Gate sales land in the same dashboard as online sales:

  • Cash — logged so cash sales report alongside card
  • Card reader — see Card Readers
  • Comp — recorded as comped rather than as a zero-value sale

The gate can sell a closed type

A ticket type whose online sales window has closed can still be sold at the gate. Close online sales the night before without closing the gate.

Scanning

Tickets carry a QR code and are scanned at the gate. A scanned ticket is marked used, so the same code cannot walk in twice.

The dashboard

Real-time, across every channel:

  • Sales by type
  • Revenue
  • The buyer list

Refunds

Refunding a ticket order voids the admissions and restocks them, so the inventory is correct again. The money itself is refunded in Stripe.

Patrons

Every online buyer is enrolled in Patrons automatically. That list is the marketing asset the fair owns between events, and ticketing is the cheapest way to build it.

Still to come

  • Stripe Terminal tap at the gate, reusing the reader registry. The payment method is already recorded; the tap flow is planned.
  • SMS to patrons.
