Events

An event is the workspace everything else on the Fairground side parents to: the 2026 County Fair, Christmas on the Midway, the spring rodeo. An account runs as many as it needs, side by side.

Creating an event

Name, dates, and the venue areas it uses. Then the part that shapes everything after it: which modules are on.

Modules

Each event turns modules on or off independently:

Entries	Catalog, entries, judging, results, premiums
Vendors	Vendor applications and management
Ticketing	Ticket types and sales
Entertainment	Acts, riders, and payables
Sponsors	Levels, forms, and receipts
Schedule	The daily public schedule

A module that is off disappears from that event's nav and dashboard entirely — not greyed out, gone. The Christmas show that has no entries and no judging is not cluttered with either.

Turn off what you do not run

A short nav is a fast nav. You can switch a module on later and everything is there waiting.

The event workspace

Opening an event gives you its own dashboard:

• Stats for the enabled modules — entries received, vendors accepted, tickets sold, sponsorship committed
• The milestone plan with its completeness rollup
• A timeline of what has happened on this event

Milestones

The milestone plan is the countdown the board actually reviews: nine months out, sponsors secured. Six months, food vendors locked. Three months, advertising done.

Each milestone carries:

• A title and description
• An owner — a team member
• A due date
• A done state

Completion rolls up as a percentage on the event card and the workspace, so the board can see at a glance whether the fair is on plan.

Milestones use the same reminder engine as everything else, so owners get chased without anyone doing the chasing.

Multiple events at once

Because everything is scoped to an event, running four at once does not cross wires. Vendors who work all four are one vendor record with four event associations; a patron who buys tickets to two is one patron.

The exception is exhibitors, who deliberately live at the account level rather than the event level, so their exhibitor number persists year over year.

Season reset

At the end of a season you export everything and clear the entry data for the next year, keeping the catalog structure and the exhibitor roster. See Entries.
