Appearance
Public Signing Page
The signing page is the single most important screen in the product, and the person using it has never logged in and never will.
The link
When you send a booking for signature, the product generates a unique link and emails it to the first signer. No account, no password.
The link can carry an expiry date. Expired links stop working and can be reissued in one click.
What the signer sees
- The agreement, rendered with every merge tag resolved — their name, the dates, the spaces, the total.
- The line items and the total, so the money is on the same page as the terms.
- The deposit due, if you attached one.
- A signature pad — draw with a finger or a mouse, or type a name.
- A decline option, with room for a reason.
Opening the page stamps a viewed time on your side, so you can tell "they have not signed" apart from "they have not looked".
Signing
The signer signs and the product records:
- Their name
- The timestamp
- Their IP address
- The signature image itself
All of it ends up on the booking's Signatures tab and embedded in the archived PDF.
Multiple signers
Signers sign in turn on the same link, renter first. When one signs, the next is emailed automatically. You do not have to chase the handoff.
Paying the deposit
If a booking deposit is attached, the signer pays it right there — card or bank transfer, on your rentals Stripe connection.
This is the moment that matters. The renter is engaged, they have just agreed to the terms, and the money is one screen away. A deposit invoiced three days later is a deposit you chase.
What happens next
Once the last signer signs, all of this happens without anybody doing anything:
- The agreement PDF is generated and archived
- The invoice is created and linked, with line items copied from the booking
- The deposit is recorded against it, so the invoice opens showing the balance
- The booking moves to confirmed
- Confirmation emails go out
Declines
A decline stops the round and flips the booking to declined, recording who declined, when, and any reason. Your team is notified.
On a phone
The page is built to be signed on a phone, because that is where most people open the email. The signature pad works with a finger.
